Slept in the Subway Station
Hello, Dear Reader,
Can you imagine one day you are sleeping in the public subway station at midnight as a "HOMELESS"?
Moreover, In the MOST "dangerous" city, New York.
If ONLY I KNEW this gonna happened, I would take a taxi to go home.
It was Ultimate Frisbee night I went to the Bronx for a Frisbee game from 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm.
Usually, I would go back home (Queens) directly at 12 AM.
But that day was special: The last game for the fall league before winter break.
So my teammates and I went to the bar near the filed to celebrate this successful league which is a traditional event basically.
We had a great time there and left the bar around 12:30 am.
Bronx is the riskiest area of New York where robbery, shooting and gang conflicts taking place every day.
But the next thing happened is the one I will never forget.
As an adult, I didn't even care the time at the first place and sauntered in the street.
Then suddenly, something hit me.
I saw a drunk guy, and he was yelling at somebody else.
I could barely understand his word but I could feel his anger and anxiety close and clearly.
And along with that, there are homeless people all over the street, and the street looks dirty and messed.
There were few hard-working people in there.
After two-hours intense activity, I was so tired and fell asleep right away.
But when I woke up, I didn't even know where I was.
I was delivered to the Brooklyn-Court Street Station which is 8 miles away from my home.
And I was surrounded by two homeless people.
One was sleeping on the seat just across me, and the other was staring at me at that moment.
I was shocked and left the train on that station immediately.
